Its location, scenery, and proximity to the ferry terminal and local parks make this project a natural tourist destination, with a diverse range of activities curated for the public’s entertainment. Care was given to the circulation through the entertainment zones, so each visit can offer a fresh sense of discovery. Various building scales enhance the variety of experiences. An ‘urban neighborhood’ defines the ferry terminal, skate park, sculptural park, and historical teahouse. This scale flows seamlessly into the natural landscapes of the recreation park, sports stadium, and meadow. “Harbourfront Village” aims to create an atmosphere blending a village’s human touch with the density of an urban context. The village scale offers intimate/comfortable commercial experiences that are carefully connected by grand urban plazas linked to ocean views, boardwalks, watershows and a Ferris wheel.
