November 13, 2024
We are thrilled to announce that the Chengdu Co-Innovation and Cooperation Center by Laguarda.Low Architects has been honored with The American Architecture Award for 2024. Building on its recent success as a finalist in the 2024 Archello Awards, the project exemplifies Laguarda.Low's commitment to sustainable, human-centered design, merging public spaces with natural surroundings to create a dynamic hub for both commerce and community.
Now in its 29th year, The American Architecture Awards® represent the United States' highest recognition for innovative and cutting-edge design. This award honors new achievements in architecture, landscape design, and urban planning, celebrating excellence within the U.S. and worldwide.
With a record number of entries, the competition this year featured projects from prominent firms globally. From an initial shortlist of 500, over 150 winners were selected by a distinguished panel. These awarded projects will be showcased in the upcoming edition of Global Design + Urbanism XXIV, which highlights "New American Architecture" for 2024.
