At a recent press conference in Kunming, Pablo Laguarda FAIA, co-founder and principal of Laguarda.Low Architects presented the design concept which prioritizes urban renewal and protection of nearby Dianchi Lake and the local ecology.

The future development includes an IMAX cinema, high-end supermarkets, and mid-to-high-end boutique retail – formulating a richly programmed and viable commercial center. A musical fountain on the sports park lake will bring a unique interactive experience to the waterfront, revealing a mix of nature, art and culture.
