Set on the city’s Tokyu Denen-tonshi train line, this commercial hub provides a varied experience for local residents, avid shoppers and tourists. Upon arrival by train, tiered gardens and waterfall meet visitors who then ascend a grand stair to a multi-level shopping scene complete with grocery market, retail stores and cinema. The interior retail village forms a simple, European-style loop with open plazas for leisure and entertainment. An updated park entrance transforms a pre-existing slope into dramatic stair, with the ground rising to create the green roof for a restaurant near the entrance. The main promenade is lined with cherry blossom trees, further emphasizing the melding of park environment with retail use. This premier retail destination is expected to attract 14 million visitors per year.
