Envisioned as a gateway to the financial and technical development district of Jingiao, the design of the Eon Time project fuses various cues of natural elements through an interwoven language that gives the project a distinct identity while maintaining a high-level of expression and response to the surrounding context of the city.
The podium of the center, inspired by images of a moving glacier, is expressed with strong horizontal gestures in material and form. The varying depths and slight color variation in panels give the face of the project a distinct dynamism and maintain a high-level of comprehension of scale. Broader gestures, expressed through deeper folds in the façade, form a series of landscaped vistas for public interaction and views of the city. The towers, through a randomized expression of material and fenestration, give a simple backdrop to the project.
