For its Master Plan of OCT Bao'an OH BAY in central Baoan District, Shenzhen, Laguarda.Low Architects has been awarded the 1st Place EcoTechGreen International Award in the Green Technology and Green Infrastructures Category. This category highlights large-scale landscape projects which provide new perspectives and virtuous examples of infrastructure that, through the use of greenery, give new breath to the cities and territories in which they are inserted.
Designed by Laguarda Low Architects, OCT OH BAY revolutionizes the definition of ‘park,’ fully integrating the natural habitat with an urban intrusion. This new high-quality of life-style center creates a place to live, work, and play within a cutting-edge technology that includes numerous sustainable green energy systems. Public gathering space in all forms – plazas, promenades, bosques, and lawns – are seamlessly integrated throughout.
The EcoTechGreen International Award is organized by PAYSAGE along with the International Magazine TOPSCAPE and in collaboration with the Italian National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators (CNAPPC), as well as Padova Hall. The award is an important recognition on the occasion of the thirteenth edition of the EcoTechGreen International Forum, an international meeting that develops and investigates the theme of Technological Green in the Landscape Architecture sector. Dedicated to landscape design and green infrastructures, the forum this year renews its commitment through the central theme: “THE BIOPHILIC CITY" – showcasing the resilient role of green infrastructure projects for cities enduring global climate and environmental challenges.
