Projects Under Construction:

Laguarda.Low Architects is proud to announce 8 projects currently under construction:

Jining Cultural Center broke ground in Jining, China, in early 2018 and is scheduled to open early 2021.

Vanke Chengdu in Chengdu, China broke ground mid-2019 and is scheduled to open in 2021.

Shanghai Yitian Holiday Plaza in Shanghai, China is nearing completion and is scheduled to open in 2021.

Taiyuan Jinyang Lakefront broke ground in Taiyuan, China, mid-2017 and is scheduled to open in 2021.

OCT Nanjing in Nanjing, China broke ground in late 2017 and is scheduled to open at end of 2021.

Auriga in Monterrey, Mexico broke ground mid-2019, and is scheduled to complete 2021.

Prishtina Mall, Prishtina, Kosovo is on track for a grand opening in fall 2022.

AEON Kitakyushu broke ground this year and is planning to open in spring of 2022.

LEED Gold Certification and Design Awards for Grandberry Park

In 2020, Grandberry Park received the top award for Urban Design Landscape issued from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in Tokyo. The project also received LEED Gold Certification in two categories – New Construction and Neighborhood Development. This is the first time ever in Japan that a project has been awarded both certifications!

Events

On June 24^th, the much-anticipated Hongshan 6979 celebrated its grand opening to the public. Located in the heart of Shenzhen, the mixed-use project seamlessly combines various sectors, featuring iconic entertainment and retail, offices, hotel, dining, cinema, and ample open space. Other project openings include OCT Shunde and Baoan Cultural Park in December.

In late Fall, leadership represented Laguarda.Low during the virtual conferences for ICSC RECON Canada and New York, attending several informative sessions and connecting with leaders in the development community.

In December 2020, Principal Ed Jenkins moderated a roundtable, Going Forward – The Future of Practice Beyond COVID-19 at ICSC CenterBuild.
