The 2019 Climate Action Summit in New York City delivered a call to action to shift the global response to climate change into high gear. Leading organizations from around the world extended the action beyond the walls of the UN building. Coordinating with this effort, Principal Ken Shigematsu attended a conference on September 24th at the Asia Society. The G20 Osaka Summit Partner’s Program discussed recent trends and challenges adopted in the field of ocean conservation and included such dignitaries as The First Lady of Japan, Akie Abe and former Ambassador to Japan, Caroline Kennedy.
