With its new metropolitan center project, Laguarda.Low Architects earns the 1st-place award in the Urban Mixed Use category from the Development/Design Commission. The 350,000 square-foot program brings to Shenzhen a stunning and complex development which features a central axis and sunken greenscape with performance and exhibition centers at the plaza’s flank. A quadrant-based design integrates Interactive and Technology Districts with retail, office towers, business apartments, and an Entertainment District. Successfully unifying the sprawling development is a common design language.
